40 Weapons to Kill an Urge

When you get an urge to smoke, do at least one of the following:

  1. Drink A Glass Of Water Or Fruit Juice.

  2. Take a bubble bath.
  3. Plan your vacation with all the money you save by not buying cigarettes.
  4. Go on a date with your partner or if you can’t go right then plan for a romantic date.
  5. Adopt an animal from your local shelter.
  6. Write a check for the money you would have spent that week on cigarettes to your favorite charity.
  7. Write a song or poem.
  8. Paint a picture.
  9. Clean out your closets.
  10. Write in your journal.
  11. Go out to eat at a smoke-free restaurant.
  12. Learn to play a musical instrument or practice your instrument.
  13. Watch a movie.
  14. Go to the gym.
  15. Do yoga.
  16. Read a book.
  17. Have sex (unless you like to have a cigarette afterwards…)
  18. Learn a foreign language.
  19. Volunteer! Sometimes helping others takes your mind off your own problems.
  20. Pick one area of your house and clean it from top to bottom.
  21. Give someone you love a Delicious Lesbian Kiss!

The busier you are, and the more engaged your mind is the less likely you will be to think about smoking. No urge can survival all of the steps listed above. However, if you do them all, you will be too exhausted to smoke!
